Wantage
Wantage is a small market town, situated in the middle of a triangle between Oxford, Newbury, and Swindon. It is at the base of the Ridgeway Path, an ancient footpath running along historic monuments like Weylands Smithy. The market place itself is dominated by a statue of King Alfred, who was born in Wantage, although there is some dispute over that, but Wantage have claimed him as their own.
