Geoffrey Bailey Shoes own brand shoes include this classic style semi brogue. These are made to our own specifications with lovely leather uppers, calf leather full linings, and soles made from leather tanned in oak bark. A feature of these shoes is the covered channel on the soles, where the leather is cut into and peeled back whilst it is stitched onto the welt, then it is pulled back over the stitches. This provides a bit of extra protection for the stitches, although it will disappear with wear. The lasts these shoes are made on are american lasts, and they fit extremely well over the waist of the foot. The difference in our own brand products as opposed to others available, is felt on the foot. We are very proud to put our name to these shoes as we put a lot of work into getting the materials and patterns and fit to our liking. I have customers who absolutely swear by these shoes, even those that baulked at the initial outlay!
