Classic navy boat shoe
Navy blue and brown combination classic boat shoe
£75.00
This is the classic boat shoe (or deck shoe or docksider; whatever you like to call it!). The sole is razor cut, meaning if you actually wear it on a boat then it’s slightly less slippy. This being a boat shoe, it is designed to get wet, as the holes stitching the sole on are supposed to act as a drain, so water won’t sit in the shoe. This does mean if it’s being worn as a casual shoe (like most people do, lets be honest!) then in very wet conditions (rain and puddles rather than sea!) then they will let water in. And out.
The lace goes all the way around the shoe, threading in and out, which is really good as it means you can pull them up to tighten the heel fit if they get a bit loose. If the lace breaks though, you need a special tool to rethread. We do it here for you…
The leather on these is nubuck, which makes them a little softer initially that new leather ones. Nubuck is as resiliant as grain leather, as it’s simply normal leather with the top grain sanded off to make it velvety soft.
